Not a girl, not yet a woman.

In light of a new birth year, I am forced to self-reflect.

One of Oprah's favorite questions to ask her guests is 'What do you know now at [insert age] that you didn't know before?" While I'll most likely never make it as a guest on Oprah, sometimes I do try and answer her questions as if she were asking me and not Sydney Poitier.

IF I were ever to be on Oprah, it would def. not be because of some hit song. Creepiest thing on Oprah? Watching her dance to a hit record but clearly has no idea what the lyrics are. Non-musical guests usually appear at the beginning of a segment, just sitting on the couch. Personally, I prefer the classic Oprah intro. Something like this:

*Oprah on stage, everyone cheering because it's Oprah.** She tells everyone to hush.
Blah, blah, blah, small talk. Segue to...
"YOUR PAL AL is HHHHHEEEEEERRRRREEEEE!"

*crowd jumping up and down, excited, etc.*

Oprah: Come on out AAAAAALLLLLLLLL.

Then they pan to me walking down the corridor between the audience. I look bashful (An "All this for me???" kind of look.)

THEN the best part-- Oprah brings me in for an embrace which is followed by that thing where we both grasp hands and look at each other:
AL: I can't believe I'm on Oprah.
Oprah: I can't believe AL is HERE.

THEN she let's go of one hand, takes my other hand and pummels it towards the ceiling like I'm a champion, we turn to the audience and they're still freaking out.

But I digress...
Obv. a deep question like this, warrants a deep answer, for example:

"All you need is love."
"Never go to bed angry."
"Live every week like it's Shark Week."

But this is a lighthearted blog and I have a wall around my heart made of impenetrable stone. As such, I do not feel comfortable revealing my feelings so openly (emotions = weakness). However to appease those at the edge of their seats, what does Your Pal, Al know now that she didn't know before?

**drumroll**

"Sometimes not even TV can fill the lonely void in your life, that's when you turn to Tetris."

I haven't been checking lately, just noticed you've been updating. This one's a winner. It's nice to see that the old clever Alice is still out there somewhere.
