The Carrier
New York welcomed me back with frigid cold weather and an unknown virus that made me bed ridden with a questionable rash, congestion, fever, chills and diarrhea. The final leg of the sickness was sinusitis, my body seems to welcome it every few years. 6 days into the antibiotics and I finally feel human again! It's been nice to be out and about, fearless of being coughed, sneezed or spit on because the giant pills I take every 8 hours make me invincible (just to bacteria, but you get the idea). The best part is I really don't know what I had and for the first few days I was probably super contagious. So I most likely infected a dozen or so people, including the young kids I teach. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right? I seriously felt like death so this saying is particularly appropriate.
