The Home Stretch

Sadly this isn’t even the penultimate semester before being done with school. Instead of just sitting down and completing the 30+ pages of writing that is due in a blink of an eye, I’ve instead developed an enormous sense of self-pity, asking myself what I’ve done to deserve this tortuous week. This also includes excessive procrastination and a sudden interest in watching the complete season of Homeland. I’ve been too lazy to cook which is unfortunate because a malnourished Al is pretty much a raging beast (similar to the hormonal crazies). Last week I made a huge pot of pork broth followed by a huge vat of congee. Today is the fourth day of my watery rice diet and as I was microwaving it for lunch I realized that it’s pretty much the same as eating gruel. What did I wash it down with? Well I won a set of loose leaf teas at a gift exchange. Unfortunately I did not realize how many pieces of floating bits would swim around in the mug of hot water. So my morning tea was equivalent to drinking dirty pool water. Looking forward to seeing how this all ends up after my stomach finishes digesting.
