Before I went to Italy everyone raved about how great the gelato was, how I would have it everyday I was there. I was extremely skeptical, for no frozen treat is that good. But alas, on our 3rd day in Florence, I discovered a delectable dessert that was made of my all time favorite fruit, fig gelato! LOVE IT.
If someone were to bring me a basket of figs and then offer to take me to Target they would forever hold a special place in my heart.
Note: Dried figs and figs that are cooked to the point of mush are NOT good, you might as well eat some raisins and have a glass of ice cold water.
