Saying Au Revoir to Paris tomorrow. Still on my mind? Berthillon ice cream and chocolate croissants from Au Levain du Marais. At both places I bought aforementioned food, ate it outside the store front, then immediately walked back inside for a second round. I'm usually not a sweets person, but this shit seriously blew my mind. As Oprah would say, it was my "ah ha!" moment. Very satisfying.
Normandy was a great place to visit. Although temporarily stuck in Caen due to a strike, after a $75 cab ride (I know, it's appalling), I managed to see some of the most important sites during WWII. Very inspiring.
I also got to watch Sister Act in French on our TV in the hotel. For those curious, everything is in French except when they sing. Which is okay by me because those are the best parts of the movie. Baby Mama in French, very weird.
