Wandered through downtown Florence today and came upon a familiar sight. On a previous trip this church served as a landmark for finding everything on our tourist to-do list. This time around it was just nice to admire the grandeur of it all.
Since I am here to "study" the food, some observations are in order: Tuscan bread is made without salt and thus extremely unappetizing. Luckily I supplemented with meat, cheese and wine. Also, the McDonald's here have something called the "NYC Crisp." It looks like a fancy french fry, I'm intrigued.
