I couldn't end the day without a cone of gelato, today it was pistachio and stracciatella. Creamy and refreshing it was a perfect for the walk home.
I suppose I should back up and talk a bit about my day. I spent the morning learning all about Italian wine. One can't truly appreciate the stuff without trying a few samples right? So at a little past 10 am, we popped open a few bottles of classic Tuscan reds and shouted out pretentious hints and notes of things we smelled. One glass in and someone had an accident:
The Barbaresco was a personal favorite, with the Barolo being a close second. I am not much of a wine expert, and three hours later I was kind of buzzed so that didn't help matters.
At this point it's all just fancy grape juice to me. Maybe it's time to stop drinking gin and tequila and just focus on refining my palate.

Drinking at 10am in Italy. What a life. How's the Tuscan food?
When you come back, we'll have to have some tequila shots.
