"Foraging" is just a fancy way of saying, "we're going to walk among the vineyards and look for plants that won't kill you." The mountains of the Tuscany are peppered with these beautiful poppies that are vibrant and just really pretty. Also, the petals are completely edible.
We took a bus to Montalcino (a region of Tuscany) where an 80-year old Italian woman handed us baskets and took us foraging. A few hours later we had baskets filled with wild leek, wild fennel fronds, chicory, among many other edibles to make lunch with. Some pictures of the landscape, including this random well:
