Fancy Gardens

You know how in Jane Austen-esque movies the characters always take visitors on a stroll through a garden, as if it were a legitimate, time-consuming activity? I never fully understood it until we got a tour of the garden on our campus. You really could spend a whole afternoon just wandering through the premise taking in all the plants, trees and flowers.

Unfortunately I can't tell you much about the gardens of La Pietra. It was hard to hear what the dude was saying, except that he pronounced Renaissance, "reh-NAY-sance" and I found that completely adorable.

Well that IS the accurate way to pronounce it. I'm sure if you check the encyclo-PAY-dia, you would see that.
