I live close to the Eataly in New York City and am a frequent visitor.
Normally I pronounce the name of store in a bad Italian accent with a great
flourish of the hand. It is a great place to buy produce and meat. All of the
Barilla products are imported from Italy and I SWEAR it tastes different.
The opportunity to experience the original Eataly in Italy kind of blew my mind. The feel of the store is completely
different. This place wasn’t jam-packed with people and also didn’t have as
many food items as the one in NYC. Even more interesting, a large part of OG
Eataly is an extensive book shop that occupies almost 2 floors.
